Hello! Welcome to this first post on my brand-new blog. My name is Sarah and I live in northwest Ohio. I love to read, scrapbook, and unfortunately, shop. I am a recovering shopaholic — sometimes when I have a new hobby or “inspiration”, I direct far too much of my paycheck to acquiring things for that hobby, i.e., scrapbooking.
I have a full-time job working in an office. I have an entrepreneurial spirit and a tendency to get involved with direct selling companies, also known as network marketing. In the past, I was an Independent Consultant with Avon and later with Partylite. I am currently with Plexus Worldwide (health/wellness) and Norwex (healthy cleaning).
I read a variety of genres. My fiction reading tends to be mysteries, romance novels, suspense/thrillers, and the occasional horror novel. My non-fiction reading includes anything that sounds interesting, whether it’s a biography, or tips and tricks of organizing, or biblical non-fiction from authors like Max Lucado, Beth Moore or John Ortberg.
I mentioned my enjoyment of reading organizing tips and tricks. Organizing myself and my home has been a lengthy project and I will share my progress and projects on this blog.
I am also an aspiring writer – I would love to write a cozy mystery series. With this blog, I am trying to build consistent writing habits, and I hope new habits will help me develop and write the mysteries.
I’m writing this post on the fly – I really have no idea what all I should share. I want this day – February 29, Leap Day – to be my blog’s anniversary though. And of course, since I’m planning on having a blogging schedule of posting on Mondays and Thursdays, this seems like a great Monday to start!
Just like real life, this blog is not all about getting organized. It’s about juggling all the stuff that matters even as I do the organizing journey. If you’re interested, I hope you’ll read my posts, subscribe – or follow via Pinterest or Facebook – and comment often! Thanks!
Happy Reading!
Sarah
