About Me
Hi! I’m Sarah. I am a recovering shopaholic who hates to clean but loves to organize. In addition to a full-time office job, at home I often find myself side-tracked by Facebook games and drama marathons on television. I love to read, but it is hard to make the time to do so. I have plenty of projects ahead of me, and I’ll share my journey here.
Why Funnychia?
One of my nephews, when he was a toddler, could not pronounce my name, Sarah. He thought I was so funny — he often giggled and said “funny, Chia!”
We adults found it so charming – and “tia” is Spanish for “aunt”. He was calling me Aunt Sarah all in one word — chia!
About the Blog
Funnychia is about sharing my life experiences, i.e., my organizing journey, a varied work history (direct selling, temping, etc.), my shopaholic nature, and anything else that occurs to me. My hope is that my writing will educate, inspire, and entertain you.
I try to greet life and its ups and downs with a smile and willingness to move forward in adversity. I am not perfect, and I certainly don’t have all the answers. I am all about celebrating baby steps. I look forward to walking this journey with you – one step at a time.

Let’s try to avoid bad things and be a little sneaky here. First, the area code is four hundred and nineteen. Two hundred and six, and then two thousand, eight hundred, and seventy-six.
